Grimm CNC 5.403
This instrument makes accurate measurements of the concentration of nano particles down to 4.5 nm in diameter over a wide concentration range (up to 107 particles per cm3) at a frequency of 1 Hz in this instrument, the air sample is continuously aspirated and placed in saturation with butanol vapor saturation within the chamber at a temperature of 35 ° C. Following the air sample passes through the condensing chamber cooled to a temperature of 10 ° C, where the butanol condenses on particles that act as condensation nuclei. This process increases the average size of nano particles, so that can be easily counted with the use of a laser detector. The NCC has a response time of the first order of approximately 1.3 S, and you can also use it to evaluate the flow of nanoparticles with the vertical turbulent eddy correlation technique.
