Mobile Laboratory
The research team uses a Mobile Laboratory for environmental surveys, run in collaboration with the Office of Environment of the Province of Lecce, for analysis of the dispersion of pollutants and air quality in the area. The mobile laboratory is fully equipped to take measurements of meteorological / micrometeorological (speed and wind direction, temperature, relative humidity, rain, heat fluxes and fluxes of PM2.5 or nanoparticles) share approximately 10 m using a telescopic pole electric. It is equipped also with detectors of atmospheric particles at different particle size (PM10, PM2.5 and PM1), gas detection (NO2, NO, NOx, O3, benzene, toluene and xylene). In some campaigns of measurement is used a photometer optical stao PDR-1200 for measuring real-time concentration of nanoparticles PM2.5ed a counter CPC Grimm 5.403. The Mobile Laboratory has also been equipped with a multistage impactor Moudi II (120R) that allows the determination of the size distribution and the chamical characterisation (size-segregated) of sampled aerosol. There are also additional samplers for TSP, PM10, PM2.5 and PM1 that could be used on the mobile laboratory. che permette di ricavare la distribuzione dimensionale del particolato campionato.
